Wouldn't the MPC one be good for live performances though? As I lay down each drum instrument onto separate mutable track, I can do so in real time tapping the pads. I notice people have said the Digitakt is better for live performances, and live performances is what I am mostly interested in to be honest. Seems like a lot of functionality for $500 used! (I plan getting a crave or neutron after the drum machine, so the cv/gate ability is nice and the fact it can act as a sequencer, storing the midi sequence within the same project as the drums and other samples and recordings.) I like that it can act as a hardware midi sequencer as well as cv/gate (etc) sequencer for eurorack gear. The MPC One has caught my attention because it can function as a drum machine, trigger samples & loops, entire songs even. I've been considering the RD-8 but it's so dang BIG, and well it is limited to just the 808 sounds (but incredible analog sound!) The Behringer RD-8 sounds absolutely fabulous - Techno is my focus right now, but also like other electronic music as well. I have a Behringer TD-3 coming in the mail and well I need a drum machine for it.
